Este martes, las nominaciones para la entrega 94 de los Premios Oscar de la Academia se dieron a conocer en un evento conducido por Leslie Jordan y Tracee Ellis Ross, en una entrega que se llevará a cabo el próximo 27 de marzo en el Teatro Dolby de Hollywood.
En la lista destaca la presencia de dos mexicanos que podrían llevarse un Oscar: Guillermo del Toro y Carlos López Estrada.
Directamente, el director mexicano competirá con El Callejón de las Almas Perdidas con cuatro categorías: Mejor Película, Mejor Fotografía (gracias al trabajo de Dan Laustsen), Mejor Diseño de Vestuario y Mejor Diseño de Producción.
Carlos López Estrada, director de Raya y El Último Dragón, una película de Disney que contó con la participación de Danna Paola, quien prestó su voz a la protagonista de la historia y también interpretó una canción que forma parte del soundtrack del filme, fue nominada como Mejor Película Animada.
Coda, drama musical, está nominada a Mejor Película, cinta protagonizada por Eugenio Derbez, quien externó su alegría por la nominación de la cinta a los Oscar.
